Organized by the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM), on April 8, 2014, at the Palace of Serbia the Annual meeting of the authorized bodies for conducting verifications of measuring instruments was held. At the meeting were discussed issues that were primarily related to the preparation of the report on the operation of the authorized bodies for conducting verifications of measuring instruments, to the conformity of the work of the authorized bodies, as well as issues of past experiences in their work.

Participants were welcomed by Mrs. Vida Živković, M.Sc., DMDM Director, emphasized that the increased number of verified measuring instruments, compared to the previous year, indicate a tendency to achieve guarantee of accurate and reliable measures, especially in terms of impartiality, independence and confidentiality, and in this regard praised results of authorized bodies in the field of verifications of measuring instruments, as holders of public powers.

Meeting was led by Lucija Dujović, DMDM Assistant Director, who emphasized the need to harmonize possible malfunctions of authorized bodies with legal regulations.
