The Tenth Meeting of the Technical Committee for Quality of EURAMET/TC-Q, Prague
In Prague, on March 18-19, 2015, was held the Tenth meeting of the Technical Committee for Quality of European Association of National Metrology Institutes – EURAMET, EURAMET/TC-QUALITY (TC-Q), where representatives of the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM) and INS „Vinca” (VINS) presented their quality management systems – QMS (SRPS ISO/IEC 17025).
Tenth meeting of the Technical Committee for Quality of EURAMET TC-Q was attended by representatives from 36 countries from Europe, representatives of EURAMET, EU and representatives of GULFMET, regional metrology organization of Persian Gulf countries.
For the first time the Technical Committee was chaired by Dr. Enver Sadikogly from UME, Turkey, to whom Dr. Pavel Klenovsky, Director of CMI and organizer of the event, handed over the duty.
Initial QMS presentations presented: Estonia – University of Tartu, Belgium – SCK-CEN/LNK, Switzerland – MBW Calibration Ltd. and Serbia – VINS, as the first institution in Serbia designated for a national standard holder in the field of ionizing radiation. Periodic re-evaluation of QMS presented representatives of: European Union – IRMM, Bulgaria – BIM-NCM, Czech Republic – CMI, CHMI, VUGTK, IPE, Greece – EIM, HIRCL/HAEC, Romania – INM, IFIN-HH, Latvia – LATMB, Croatia – NMI/FER-PEL, HMI/FSB-LIMS, FSB-LPM, FSB-LPMD, FSB-SSDL, Romania – INM, IFIN-HH, Poland – INTiBS and Republic of Serbia – DMDM, holder of national standards in the field of electrical and magnetic quantities, mass and related quantities, length, acoustics, flow, time and frequency, photometric and radiometric quantities and thermometry.
Presentation of QMS in DMDM, for period from 2010-2014, presented Mr. Boris Laštro, Assistant Director of Sector for Metrology Development, supported by Mrs. Slavica Simić, Head of the Group for thermometry. Chairman and all present were unanimous that the re-evaluation QMS presentation by Directorate was succinct, clear and with noticeable improvement in the quality system, so that confidence in QMS of Directorate, as well as its capacity to meet requirements of CIPM MRA, was unanimously voted.
Special presentations by invitation had representative of GULFMET – new emerging regional organization, as well as the Chair of the Technical Committee for Metrology in Chemistry, TC-IM, Mick Sega, INRIM, Italy, over the production of reference materials and the application of ISO Guide 34, and the procedure for confirmation of the indicated value in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
The next meeting of the contact persons of TC-Q will be held in April 2016 in Skopje, organized by BOM, FYR of Macedonia.
