Serbian Standards for Demanding Markets

Application of standards to secure export, as well as improve the performance of products and processes, thus raising the competitiveness and sustainability of the business, it was pointed out at the promotion of the latest Serbian standards.

Institute for Standardization of Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Program for the development of the private sector in Serbia ACCESS, implemented by the German organization for technical assistance (GIZ) promoted two most recent books of Serbian standards. The first collection deals with quantities and units, mathematical signs and symbols, space and time, mechanics, and thermodynamics, and in the second is talking about industrial systems and products, installations and equipment. Head of the Center for environment PKS, Mr. Dušan Stokić, pointed out that all those who use standards and those who participate in its development, have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technical solutions and innovations to be offered in the next five years. Mr. Helmut Mairhofer, Manager of the component of strengthening the area of quality infrastructure in the framework of the Program of GIZ ACCESS, pointed out that in Serbia there are competent institutions in the field of standardization. Adoption of the new law deals with these issues, and SMEs receive the proper tools, or consulting and certification.
