Cooperation with other organizations was presented, as well as reports of all working groups of European cooperation in legal metrology. A revision of procedures for the work of European cooperation in legal metrology and working group working instructions was also carried out. Also, the existing ones were confirmed and the re-election of the new chairpersons of individual working groups was carried out.
In comparison with the previous year there was also one of the main novelties, which is about intensifying cooperation through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between WELMEC and EURAMET - the regional metrology organization of Europe, as two key European organizations that lead the legal and scientific metrology community, with a long history of mutually beneficial cooperation.
WELMEC membership – European cooperation in legal metrology enables efficient transposition of EU directives into national legislation and taking over the obligations which have the EU member states in a manner completely harmonized with the EU legislation.
