Annual meeting of the EURAMET working group for capacity building

On October 11 and 12, 2022, the seventh meeting of directors of representatives of national metrology institutes was held hybridly within the Working Group for Strengthening the Capacity for Metrology Affairs of the European Regional Metrology Organization - EURAMET Board of Directors Working Group for Capacity Building (hereinafter: BoD WGCB). The aim of this working group is to support the vision of a coherent, efficient, sustainable and integrated European metrology network, to identify and propose measures to build and improve the capacity of all EURAMET members, especially for new and small national metrology institutes and designated institutes, as well as to raise awareness on the development of metrology and quality infrastructure of all member countries.
During the meeting, which was chaired by Mr. Paul Hetherington, novelties in the work of EURAMET were presented, significant information was presented about existing programs for strengthening the capacity of metrological infrastructure, as well as experiences from previous practice, and a new platform for "e-learning" was presented. Present representatives of national metrology institutes presented novelties and realized development activities in the period since the previous meeting. Also, a plan of capacity strengthening activities in the upcoming period based on previously determined needs was considered.
The Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals was represented at the meeting by Nikola Petrović, assistant director of the Metrology Development Sector, and Tamara Đekić, quality manager.
