World Metrology Day - May 20, 2022 - Metrology in the digital age

On May 20, 2022, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, the Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals (hereinafter: DMDM) marked the World Metrology Day. This year, the World Metrology Day is celebrated all over the world under the slogan: "Metrology in the digital era". This gathering was attended by the management and employees of DMDM, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Milan Ljusic, Director of the Accreditation Body of Serbia Aco Janicijevic, Director of the Institute for Standardization Tatjana Bojanic, Dr. Slavko Dimovic, Assistant Director for Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security, Dr. Milos Zivanovic Head of the Calibration Sector of the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, an appointed institute, holder of national standards, as well as other eminent experts in the field of metrology
Those present at this gathering were greeted and welcomed by Cedomir Belic, Acting Director of DMDM.
On behalf of the hosts, prof. Dr. Dragoslava Stojiljković, Vice Dean for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who pointed out the great importance of metrology in application and expressed satisfaction with the successful long-term cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and DMDM ​​which is realized through various activities based on cooperation agreements. Cedomir Belic then presented the results of DMDM's work in the period from 2019-2021. He emphasized that digitalization in metrology accelerates the path of measuring instruments from producers to markets, as well as that its important factor is the digital certificate of conformity. The goal of the international metrology community is to develop universal formats for the exchange of measurement results throughout the metrology sector.
Jasmina Lazarević, metrologist for alternating voltage and current, presented the concept of digital certificates of conformity.
Zoran Jovanović, Head of the Department for IT and Operational Support at the Ministry of Economy, introduced the participants to the Product Info project, which is carried out by the Ministry of Economy, and in which ISS, ATS and DMDM ​​also participate.
Vladan Lapčević, director of the company Meter & Control, presented the concept of smart standards that are produced in the Republic of Serbia and the challenges that digitalization brings in this area.
В. prof. dr Đorđe Čantrak, on behalf of the team which also includes doc. Dr. Novica Janković and c. prof. Dr. Dejan Ilić presented modern measuring techniques used in the Laboratory for Turbulence and Measurement of Fluid Flow Rate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade.
Jasmina Pavlović, Head of the Group for Information Technologies and Communication, presented the process of introducing the eInspektor system in DMDM ​​and the advantages of digitalization that this system has brought in the work of inspectors.
