Students of the Medical School in Krusevac, accompanied by chemistry professor Zaklina Miljkovic, on September 18, 2023, visited the Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals (hereinafter: DMDM) - Department for Metrological Inspection Krusevac.

The visitors were welcomed by Dragana Milicevic, head of the Metrological Inspection Department in Krusevac, and on that occasion she introduced them to the institution's history, the first Law on Measures, the Meter Convention, as well as this year's anniversary, which DMDM marks 150 years of metrology in Serbia.

After the screening of the promotional film, the students were introduced to the role, importance and work performed by DMDM as a national metrology institute. The visit continued with a tour of the laboratories, a discussion about measurements, benchmarks and measurement units.

The students were most interested in the method of checking the correctness of the standards used in everyday life, as well as the history of measurements in Serbia.
